Present! | Do you have experience and expertise that could benefit your colleagues? Why not share that—and get recognition from your colleagues—as a presenter at one of our programs? We are always looking for talented and innovative speakers throughout the year, so it is always a great time to submit a proposal. We seek talented presenters who can share real world examples and practical tactics that our members and attendees can apply in their workplace environments. We ask that presenters design their presentations with visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles in mind. They should also include meaningful interactions to fully engage participants. We offer a variety of programs, including monthly programs, full-day workshops and special events. Our monthly programs are typically held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month except in July, August and December. |
What's in it for you?
Presenting at a Chapter program is an opportunity to develop professionally and share your expertise with other training professionals. Our programs are also a fantastic time to catch up with friends and expand your professional network. As a non-profit, we typically do not pay/reimburse speakers. However, any exceptions are addressed on a case-by-case basis.
How are topics determined?
The topics for our monthly program and special events support the ATD Competency Model reflecting the ten Areas of Expertise (AOE) identified as essential knowledge and skills. Do you have an idea? We would love to hear about it!
I have a proposal!
Fantastic! We would love to learn more about your proposal. Any chapter member or non-member can submit a proposal. A committee of chapter volunteers will review your proposal and make selections based on how your proposed presentation fits within our annual programming goals.
Each submission will be reviewed and there is no guarantee of selection. Additionally, we will only contact the speakers who have been selected.
We currently have a full calendar of programs for 2019, but we will be accepting new proposals for 2020 in the fall.
