Drama Free Self-Talk and Boundary Setting

 with Jodi Janati

The way you talk to yourself directly impacts how you both behave and interact with others. Examine how your self-talk often creates more drama in your life than is necessary. Control your thoughts or they will control you. Explore strategies to help re-frame your thoughts and go from "you stress" to "eustress." Work through a previous or current negative experience. Understand how thoughts affect reality and how to work through anger and anxiety. Think in new ways and be inspired to protectively work through negative thoughts to find healthier responses to difficult experiences. Foster self-awareness by examining your own experiences and practice critical self-reflection. Use this information to set boundaries where they are needed with yourself and others.

Upon completion of the presentation, participants will:

  1. Identify personal stress triggers and learn to avoid "plugging in" to them
  2. Understand and apply strategies to defuse negative self-talk
  3. Learn strategies to effectively address and eliminate intrapersonal drama

Sponsored by your ASTD chapter and back by popular demand Dr. Jodi Janati will lead us in this valuable and inspiring but fun program.
