Empowered Communication
Our word choices convey messages about our credibility, knowledge, and professionalism. Studies found that women use more than 20,000 words a day and men use around 7,000 words daily. That means we have thousands of opportunities every single day to make a good impression!

Join us on November 19th at 5pm as our incoming Chapter President, Kim Ellsworth, facilitates this interactive workshop on Empowered Communication. She will share her journey toward empowered communication. Participants will identify elements of empowered communication and practice rephrasing their messages.
Kim completed her MBA in Leadership and Change from the College of St. Scholastica in 2018 and also holds a degree in communicating arts from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. She has a long history in providing and supporting learning and staff development opportunities and she firmly believes that everyone, regardless of position title, has the choice to shine and to lead. She is passionate about lifelong learning both for herself and in fostering opportunities for others to grow.
Kim is currently working as a Training & Development Specialist for the Department of Transportation. In her downtime, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching classic films, cooking, and reading.
This event is part of our member appreciation evening! There will be a social hour with appetizers and chance to network, followed by the workshop.

Cost: Free for members and 1 guest. $65 for non-members which includes admission to the membership appreciation event for themselves and 1 guest and an annual membership to the Lake Superior ATD Chapter.
