The Power of Emotional Intelligence

ATD and NHRA are excited to present a special joint session to wrap up 2019!

When emotional intelligence is understood and approached as a set of skills, individuals and organizations benefit. Relationship-building and stress management strategies are developed through training and coaching.

This presentation introduces the theory of emotional intelligence and includes a sampling of action steps to develop specific factors related to emotional and social functioning.

We will explore emotional intelligence as a set of emotional and social skills that influence the way we perceive and express ourselves, develop and maintain social relationships, cope with challenges, and use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way (Bar-On, 1997).

Discussion will include implications of emotional intelligence development on engagement and conflict management.
