    Smash the Silos: Break through the invisible barriers that are making your job harder and negatively (and silently) impacting your training and change initiatives

    During this high-energy & interactive presentation, T&D professionals will: 

    1) Learn what silos are, why they still exist & how they impact every area of your work.

    2) Dive into the four buckets of organizational health that drive success & how inadvertently if we are not vigilant, can negatively impact all of your training & change initiatives

    3) Leave with immediately actionable ideas to begin naming, claiming, & clearing the silos in your organization so you can support organizational leaders with best practices.

    Every T&D Professional has been put into a situation where they are charged with implementing a change or fixing a process in the organization. Situations where information is always last minute or there is conflicting advice are a constant source of stress, chaos, & confusion for you & your department. Each time, you are put in a tough situation when leaders &/or departments are reluctant to share skills, knowledge, & information with you. It is even worse when they refuse to see how this behavior is a big concern for the organization as a whole. If these scenarios are familiar to you, perhaps it is time to dive deeper into why a leader or department like this can survive in your organization.

    Often, it is not the leader’s fault but rather the presence & acceptance of silos & silo thinking that negatively impact your efforts to make positive organizational changes. Silos create barriers to effective communication & collaboration throughout your organization, causing a ripple of negativity. If left unchecked, these silos will taint your culture & result in behaviors that cause inconsistency, inefficiency, & isolation & stop any attempts at innovation in their path. Let’s finally take the steps to name, claim, & smash these silos before they cause more stress, damage your organizational culture, & negatively impact all your business results.


    Kiki Orski, author of the newly released book Smash the Silos: A surprisingly easy way to enhance collaboration, boost productivity and improve organizational results, is an experienced Performance Improvement Consultant with over 20 years of coaching and training leaders to achieve exceptional results. Kiki coaches leaders on how to work more effectively and transform business practice with their leadership teams, employees and clients to improve productivity, engagement and ultimately profits.   Her company, Peak Performance Consulting is dedicated to helping organizations achieve exceptional performance at every level, starting at the top!

Registration Policy

Hybrid Learning Policy

We are so pleased to have the opportunity to meet in-person again! We also respect that our members have varying levels of comfort and flexibility to participate face-to-face. Participants can connect via Zoom or attend in person. We will engage with the virtual audience as well as the live audience.

Registration Policy

Our pricing structure for all participants is $35 for non-members, $20 for members, and $13 for students. (Tip: Becoming a member of the Lake Superior Chapter is just $45 a year!)

A meal will be provided during the in-person events. Virtual attendees benefit from the flexibility to participate remotely, receiving the online materials, networking opportunities, and access to a recording of the session for later viewing.

Disclaimer

We do not refund registration cancellations after 12 noon the Friday before the program. If you find you are unable to attend a program for which you are registered after this cancellation deadline, please feel free to send someone in your place.

If you prefer to pay on the day of the event, payment will be collected at the door prior to the program beginning. We will try to accommodate walk-ups if space allows, but only those who pre-register are guaranteed a seat at the event. For walk-ups, we can accept payment onsite by cash or check.

We promote our events on social media and website. With your registration, you understand your image may be captured via photograph or video and agree to allow your photo, video or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by the chapter and speaker.
